Indiana has a rather diverse climate for the area, and the northern half is actually quite different than the southern half. Up north, Indiana can experience lake effect snow similar to the climate in Chicago, and it is quite cold in the winter. The southern half experiences far milder winters compared to the north. Keep this in mind when planning late season / early season rides. The summers are humid throughout the state just like the majority of the Midwest, but the southern half sees much more rain than the northern half, so don't forget your rain gear. No matter where your travels take you, make sure your riding gear is up to par and ready to handle all four seasons if you ride often in Indiana.
