How to share your REVER rides

We’ve made some big upgrades to how you can share your REVER rides - This brief article will tell you everything you need to know to use these new features like a seasoned pro.

After tracking and saving a ride, you will be able to access the share option from the ride page (the share icon appears as a box with an arrow coming out of it).

Upon tapping the share icon, you will have a number of customization options for how you would like your ride to appear once shared. Swiping left will allow you to cycle through different background / map style options, these are:

  • Standard Map Background with Route Line
  • Topo Background with Route Line (Topo Background can be swapped for an image of your choosing via the photo icon on the bottom right)
  • Topo Background with Map Tile (Topo Background can be swapped for an image of your choosing via the photo icon on the bottom right)
  • Clear Background (this option creates a PNG that can be copied by tapping “share image” and then “copy”, then you can paste the PNG over an image or video in Instagram/Facebook before sharing to your story”
Standard Map Background with Route Line

This variety of background / map style options allows you to tailor the appearance of your ride to your liking. Want to keep it simple? Use the standard map background. Have an epic photo from your ride? Use that instead! Maybe you have a great video from your adventure - paste the PNG over the top of your video in your instagram story to make something really unique!

After selecting your background / map style options, you can further customize your ride share image by:

  • Toggling on/off your desired data fields using the button showing three horizontal lines in the bottom left of the screen
  • Changing the color of the route line using the pencil button in the bottom right of the screen

We want you to be able to share as little or as much data about your ride as you want. Feel like focusing on the mileage of your ride? You can select that alone. Maybe you had a massive day in the saddle and want to share distance plus time - you can do that.

Once you’ve crafted your ride share screen to your liking, you can share it using any of the options under “Share Image” and/or “Share Link” at the bottom of the screen. From here you can share directly to your choice social media platform, copy and paste over an image or video in your Instagram story, save directly to your camera roll, text to family or friends, etc.

Now that you know all of your new ride sharing possibilities, all that’s left to do is give it a go next time you track a ride.
